Oshana police regional commander Naftal Lungameni Sakaria says President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has directed that the late control prosecutor Justine Shiweda be accorded a national honour funeral. Sakaria said the Namibian Police will take charge of the memorial service scheduled for Friday, with Shiweda set to be laid to rest on Saturday at Onambango. Namibia's late President Hage Geingob, who died aged 82 on 4 February after a cancer diagnosis, has been buried in the country's capital Windhoek today. At least 18 foreign heads of state and government attended Geingob's memorial service at the Independence Stadium yesterday ahead of his burial. President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is attending the funeral, said Zimbabwe has lost "a pillar of support" in Geingob who consistently campaigned against Western sanctions on the country. | The News Hawks
