Because dwarf caimans are prolific hunters and will sometimes starve themselves in captivity if stressed out. He doesn’t take well to frozen thawed rodents yet, but he is very close from taking live prey from my hands. Once he gets comfortable I’ll start switching to f/t rodents. Tramp is getting more and more comfortable with my presence as time goes on. He’s probably the most relaxed dwarf
