What in the duct?Most of the ductwork in my area is flex duct. Definitely see some problems with the installation of it, but all of this damage is completely unacceptable. The outer jacket of flex duct needs to remain intact to protect the insulation under it. I've found a few more smaller leaks around the duct work and patched them up. Working with smaller pieces of tape at a time help to create a tighter seal thanks to the angle of the round duct. I've overlapped the tape to ensure it is nice and neatly sealed. It's already getting warm up here so I'll save the other side of the attic for later.
