SEALS ARE IMPORTANT ... Namibian Dolphin Project founder Simon Elwin gave his input at a meeting at Walvis Bay on the motion concerning the potentially detrimental effect of the increasing seal population on the sustainable harvest of fish stock. Elwin presented his views to members of the parliamentary standing committee on natural resources, who are in the Erongo region to consult with Namibians on the motion. Once we start charging, hundreds of seals race to the ocean to seek safety. The seals are scared for their lives. It is understandable when the seal bites to defend itself.
