Here's a pretty neat look & listen at a lone coyote vocalizing in the middle of the afternoon. Coyotes are typically crepuscular, meaning they're most active during the times that bookend sunset and sunrise, but this song dog is giving us a nice look in full light. Interpreting animal vocalizations is a relatively inexact science, but coyotes, being one of the most vocal of wild animals, have been the subject of multiple studies along these lines. What we're hearing here is known as a bark-howl,
