The RF&P merged with Washington Southern in 1920 to form the Richmond-Washington Company which later became part of Conrail, and ultimately CSX. Help us welcome the newest addition to the CSX heritage fleet: Locomotive 1851, honoring the historic Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway (NC&StL). Operating from 1851 to 1957, the NC&StL was a vital freight and passenger route, connecting communities across Tennessee and into other southern states and driving regional growth.
