1939 - Taken on State Forest No. 3 (Fairchild State Forest); demonstrating cutting pine pulpwood without mechanized equipment. First scenes are using a double-bit axe to mark 4 ½’ lengths on the log. Each pulpwood “bolt” was then cut with a two-man crosscut saw and stacked in the woods.
