~ The Beauty of Modesty ~ Modesty is beautiful. “Modesty protects the mystery of persons and their love. It encourages patience and moderation in loving relationships. . . . It inspires one’s choice of clothing. It keeps silence or reserve where there is evident risk of unhealthy curiosity. It is discreet.” —CCC, no. 2522 As a wife and mom, I want to dress with modesty to be a good example to children. Showing my daughters that dressing with respect for the human body and for God truly matters!

The wives of the prophet ﷺ are the greatest example of modesty and the standard for what is right and wrong. Today there is mass confusion on what is real modesty with so much deflection and opposition to the traditional and normative guidelines given to us by the wives of the prophet ﷺ. We know from the narrations that they used to cover their faces, wear loose dark clothing that would not reveal their shape and the question of make up isn’t even in the picture.
