He was the ringmaster in what was often an appalling circus - but Jerry Springer had this amazing "teflon" like quality to him. As horrible as his show was - and it was awful - the sludge never stuck to Jerry himself. He visited with us at KTLA many, many times over the years - and so on a personal level all of us were sad to hear the news of his passing at 79 years of age.
