AHMEDABAD, India (AP) — India won the T20 World Cup for a record third time with a crushing 96-run victory over New Zealand on Sunday to the delight of more than 86,000 cricket fans at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
The International Cricket Council's (ICC) Men's T20 World Cup is set to begin in India and Sri Lanka on Saturday, Feb. 7. With 20 nations from around the world set to participate across 54 total matches, the best the sport has to offer will be showcased.
