The City of Decatur is set to host a series of community meetings in March following the 2026 community survey results.

DECATUR, Ala. — The City of Decatur is taking its latest community feedback directly to neighborhoods across the city.

Matthew Ward passed away last December from complications with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Flags were lowered to half-staff this morning in South Carolina, where civil rights icon Rev. Jesse Jackson will lie in repose at the state capitol.

Following the release of the 2026 Community Survey results last week, the city of Decatur will host a series of district community meetings throughout March.

Decatur County Schools held an Industry Night last month as part of the district’s focus on engineering, technology, manufacturing, and marketing.
