More than a month after it was closed to traffic, Kentucky transportation officials have set a tentative date for demolition of the 4th Street Bridge linking Covington and Newport.

Police say thieves can remove wiring from a single pole in minutes, but repairs can take months or even years, depending on damage and resources.
