PHILADELPHIA — The last few days have been a whirlwind for new Eagles quarterback Sam Howell. On Sunday morning, Howell was informed by the Minnesota Vikings that he was being traded. On Sunday night, he landed in Philadelphia and checked into a hotel.
Howell is expected to serve as the Eagles' QB2 for Thursday night's Week 1 opener against the Cowboys, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Tanner McKee has a hand injury and isn't expected to be ready to back up Jalen Hurts for Week 1.
