The war between Iran and the United States is rapidly intensifying to include other countries, including Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

The US State Department is urging Americans in 14 Middle Eastern nations to "depart now" as strikes from Iran conflict spill over in the Gulf region.

A cargo ship was struck on Wednesday by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, setting it ablaze after the U.S. targeted Iranian minelaying vessels that could target the strait. Iran is continuing to launch attacks on neighboring countries in the region in response to American military action.

Foreign governments are urging their citizens to leave on any available commercial flight as Gulf airspaces largely close, cruise ships can't pass through the Strait of Hormuz, and major airlines cancel flights.

Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine has received six requests from countries in the Middle East for help amid the war with Iran. At the same time, he expects the return of the Ukrainian delegation from the Gulf region in order to determine the scale of assistance those countries expect.

The massive deployment of warships comes as some Middle Eastern nations are expected to reevaluate their alliances in a post-Iran war world, analysts said.
